[mapguide-users] Buffer tool in the AJAX viewer

The build on mine is from the Commercial Beta version (Enterprise 2007
build 1.0.0.16802). Can you please confirm if there is a bug with the
buffer tool? It will help me determine if my application can no proceed
any further. Thanks.

I get the corrupt memory error too. But once I wrote my own buffer
method (not calling the buffer page ui), it went away. Or at least I
haven't seen it since. If I use the buffer ui in my custom application,
the error appears from time to time.

For your Sheboygan sample, do your two machines perhaps have different
builds of MapGuide on them?

On both of my installs (one XP, one Win 2000, both .NET) with my
application, whenever I try to do a buffer, I get this error after
hitting the Done button: "Attempted to read or write protected memory.
This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt".

With the sample Sheboygan application running on the same machines, I
see the exact same symptoms you describe below on one machine, but it
works as expected on the other.

Has anyone been able to get the buffering to work in the AJAX viewer.
No matter what value I put in the distance and no matter what unit of
measure I choose, it just makes the same big red buffer that takes up
the whole map. Does this not work in the AJAX viewer?
