[mapguide-users] SQL Server 2005

I was thinking about storing XML fragments on the MS SQL. Must admit to still trying to get my head round how the FDO stuff connects accross both autodesk and the datasource. Presumably the FDO provider 'converts' the data into GML which Mapguide then processes.

Jim,

Were you thinking of gml geometry fragments as a representation for
geometry in records in SQL Server or a GML file-on-disk provider? If
built against Xerces the OGR FDO Provider can read some varieties of GML2
though the GML support has many ... flaws. (my fault).

I don't know if the normal binary for the OGR Provider includes xerces/gml
support or not.

Best regards,
