[mapguide-users] web studio - feature data setup?

Tim,

I looked into this a bit and it seems that I failed to make some
necessary updates to webstudio prior to the MapGuide 1.1 release. The
template for new feature sources has a hard coded value referencing a
3.0 fdo provider which isn't included in the new release and won't
work with MapGuide 1.1.

I will file a bug and patch this problem but in the longer term I'm
planning to redesign how webstudio detects and uses providers to allow
creation of additional feature sources.

In the meantime, you can get SDF upload working by modifying the
feature source template
(WebServerExtensions/www/webstudio/templates/FeatureSource.xml in your
mapguide installation), replacing 3.0 with 3.2.

For SHP, the fix is a little more complicated and your best bet would
be to use mapagent to modify the feature source once it has been
created in the repository. You should then be able to use it to create
layers in webstudio,

zak
