[mapguide-users] New KML FDO provider

Hi,

 

I am working on new King.KML FDO provider for KML 2.2. If accepted it
will be part of Open Source providers.

 

It is very early stage in development but I wanted to share it very
soon. There is lot of options and getting more opinions on it can be
useful.

 

Right now King.KML provider  allows you to:

-          display KML in MapGuide , AutoCAD Map. It will display
Placemark name, description and attributes (ExtendedData from KML)

-          you can select features, run queries against KML, etc..

-          allow insert and update of geometries and attributes in KML (
you can use AutoCAD Map to try it too)

-          you can use Fdo2Fdo to copy existing data (shp,sdf, oracle,
any fdo...) to create new KML

 

Many things are missing right now , I will be happy to get info from you
too.

I am working on: how to setup which FDO properties will be used for
placemark name description, how to set style of created placemark etc..
