I belive some Autodesk people have previously posted on this list, that
the official Autodesk recommendation is to avoid using network folders.
(Gladly corrected, should I be wrong)
I have tried to use SMB folders on windows, and it works, but is slow.
When acessing the data, do you mount the remote folder, of use it with
the protocol access (smb://)?
Without having tried it on Linux, I'm pretty sure that MapGuide just ask
the OS to enumerate the files in the given folder (when browsing).
