[mapguide-users] Error on services (mgserver.exe)

The most common reason for this kind of error is usually a bad path to one of the directories outlined in Site Admin. If for example you changed the location of the repository and the system can't find the files you will see this behavior.

Edit your serverconfig.ini (in Notepad only) and check your paths.

Ocasionally there is also information in the System event log (not the performance log).
Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Eventlog
Click on "Applications".

As a last resort, try running mgserver.exe in interactive mode as explained on the bottom of this page:
