  I don't know anything much about the gdal or mapguide x64, but I do 
know that that sort of message is typically related to a conflict 
between x64 and x86 (ie, mixing versions). I'd be willing to bet that 
the gdal dlls are x86 and don't play with the x64 mapguide install. 
Again - I don't know much about this stuff, but I've seen this before 
with other software that just started to support x64.
