Hi John,

The way to get your new feature into MapServer is to create a new issue 
in Bugzilla.

http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/bugs/

Pick the SWIG Mapscript component, write a description, and add your 
patches.  Add
me, sgillies at frii.com, to the CC list and I'll make sure that the PHP 
mapscript
developers are notified as well.
