+1 on the proposal

Thank you for your patience with all my questions.

As an aside, to this, plugin is not a documented CONNECTIONTYPE in the 
mapfile reference and a search on the mapserver website does not show 
much that is useful regarding "plugin". I seems to me that there should 
be a doc page the lists all available PLUGIN modules and has supporter 
contact information (if not the mapserver dev) and where they can be 
located and where to find external docs if they exist.
