[mapserver-users] PHP 4.0.6 with dbase for Debian

I compiled up PHP 4.0.6 myself and replaced the Apache
module manually.

This seems to have worked OK without breaking apt. In
fact, when I did a dist-upgrade, it merely replaced
the manually installed 4.0.6 .so with the current one.

This has also been useful in letting me compile in PDFlib
and such without doing a package each time.

Subject: [mapserver-users] PHP 4.0.6 with dbase for Debian

Hi

A few days ago I have inquired about a solution to a problem with
PHP and dbase under Debian Woody I encountered.

Now it's solved.

The dbase-tree had been removed in the original Debian PHP source.
We patched the original Debian source and reinserted the dbase
code.
You can find the Debian package at:
http://sourcepole.ch/sources/software/php-4.0.6/

This package is compiled as follow:

...
--enable-dbase \
--enable-force-cgi-redirect \
--enable-discard-pat

Bye

chris
