Dave,

Have you seen Steve Lime's DHTML implementation?  It seems to have
better cross browser compatibility then the mapplet, although I have not
tested it on Linux or Macs.  I also started with the mapplet and was
have reports of it not work on certain browsers, so I made the switch to
the DHTML code Steve had put together.

You might consider DHTML as another option.  By the way great demo
applications.  I like the use of the frames.

We're just using Javascript and the mapplet. I've had ALOT of trouble

different browsers on different platforms with all of this. It is my
intention to go strictly Javascript and eliminate the Mapplet piece, but
I'm
not sure I will ever be able to ensure that this will be cross browser
compatible. As soon as I think I've done it, someone tells me that IE6.0
on
XP doesn't work. In fact yestreday I attempted to demo these apps for a
group with win2k, ie6.0 on their laptop. the browser wouldn't even come
back
with a <body background="something.jpg"> image. And this is one of the
"tested/supported" setups... Whatcha gonna do?

did you, by chance, develop the applets in J++? They're not running well

on my linux box.
