Mapquest - A9 - Amazon - AJAX map interface

In my case ... its Enjoy.
The map recentering, by moving the highlighted box in the reference
map is very similar to our mapserver Flash interface. Clicking the
arrows around the map or on the compass is just the same old stuff
seen in many a map. But the right-click zoom in to box / left-click
zoom out is almost googlish (in a good way) in its obviousness ...
once you've done it once to know the controls exist.
What I don't like about this interface is how sluggish it feels, no
message or animated graphic to tell you that it is thinking after you
have taken an action ... except for the automatic query that happens
during a left-click re-center.
But that's just me.
