Stef,

If you aren't seeing anything then the problem is likely not
IMAGEMODE.  But you will need to show us what you are
doing if you want meaningful feedback.  Do you have 8bit
rasters working?  Normally if you have pseudocolored input
rasters working then 24bit should work directly though you might
find you need to tweak things to get good quality output.
