pixmap symbol

Hi list,
I'm trying to implement some symbols in my mapserver application. If I build 
the symbols it works fine however the pixmap type shows an "loadSymbol(): GD 
library error". I didn't change the library and I'm using the ms441pg.

Symbol file:

SYMBOL
NAME "aeroport"
TYPE PIXMAP
IMAGE "I-5.png"
TRANSPARENT 2
END
 And the image is in the same folder of the symbol file. Anyone has reach 
this trouble?
