See the straight line at the pole ?

Is this a known issue with Orthographic projection?

 

Here are the projection’s parameters:

 

+proj=ortho +ellps=WGS84 +lat_0=30.000 +lon_0=-45.0000 +x_0=0.00 +y_0=0.00
