[mapserver-users] problem maxscale - minscale

Dear mapserver community!

I have a (probably silly) problem showing layers in different scale regions.

First of all (don't know why) I have to multiply the desired scale by 10 ,
that means Orthofotos are shown
up to 1:10000 when I do MAXSCALEDENOM 100000. The same is true with shape
file GROUP Grundst-Nr.

But the following layer NAME 'Bezirk-Hauptorte' is shown from 1:600000 to
1:5000 (without multiplying by 10).

   MAXSCALEDENOM 600000
   
I think there is a basic misunderstanding; many thanks in advance for any
help.
