I think to start, yes, we "just" need editing access for some users in
the existing instance (then we could for instance, update the content
so that it is not years out of date).  Connection to LDAP I don't see
as being necessary unless SAC for other reasons sees it as necessary.
Ensuring that it is ssl access is probably worthwhile.

Beyond just starting, I think that we do want to migrate the instance
to a newer OS and newer OJS version and once again ensure that this
setup uses ssl.

I don't think that we have anyone who has or knows their information
to log in.  So in the ticket we are at "1. how to get access
currently".  With access to the underlying machine, perhaps we can get
access or manually add a user with rights or alter the right of an
existing user.

Right.  So I have an account and can log in, however, my account does
not have rights to do much nor to alter rights of others.
