[OSGeo Oceania] Funding request - QGIS SIG

Thanks Edoardo & board for the quick response! Will organise that today.

Re: an annual budget - it's not something we've really considered, the
original idea was to set up a mechanism for organisations in Oceania to
provide financial support to the QGIS project, specifically for initiatives
that might especially benefit this region. The SIG was put forward by OSGeo
Oceania as the way to achieve this, so that's what we've done. WIll put
some thought into it.

Anyway, I'm not sure. Maybe. I have some concerns about creating more
bureaucracy and the extra volunteer effort required, sometimes it feels
like we have more policies and procedures than we can actually follow, as a
small volunteer community. Doing it this way didn't seem like it was
especially taxing on anyone's time. But on the other hand I do appreciate
the value of spreading around the ability to make decisions.

Does the board have a sense of timing for budget planning, as in: when
would the QGIS SIG need to put in a budget proposal to have it included in
next year's budget?

Cheers
John
