[OpenLayers-Dev] SelectFeature control interfering with popup

My map contains SelectFeature Control with enabled hover:true property.
By onSelect property I call function which put OpenLayers.Popup on my map.
By onUnselected - remove popup from map. Popup is used like tooltip. But
when I place mouse cursor over popup - selected feature becomes unselected.
How to prevent this behavior?
