 Hey rdewit I talked with ahocevar about this and the IE issue is not a
 reason for your patch not to be considered. This is what Andreas said:

 "I think it will be fine if it's only for SVG. We don't need to support
 everything in all renderers. (especially with VML now being officially
 abandoned by Microsoft)"

 Is the VML part currently usable at all, or would it make more sense to
 have a patch without VML support at all?
