[OpenLayers-Users] OpenLayers JSF portlet JBOSS and geoserver

hi

i have to face a challenge, i  have to build a client to geoserver map
server, i want to use openLayers, but i need to put it in jsf and inside a
portlet (jboss), i am new to those technologies, and i had read that few
users use the same architecture. I am asking for any warning, or feedback.

Is it a good way to build a full html/javascript client and then integrate
it with jsf?
is there any trouble with ajax when integrating with jsf, what must i keep
in mind?

any suggestion, is welcome.
