[OpenLayers-Users] MapFish vs OpenLayers

Antoni,

   Have a look at GeoMoose (http://www.geomoose.org/).  It uses Openlayers, with 
some additional Javascript to provide a "starter" mapping application.  It also 
(optionally) uses some PHP along with Mapserver's Mapscript to do some 
server-side processing.
