[OpenLayers-Users] Search within database not layer

i followed this explination successfuly to implement search function:

my problem is, this can find just the displayed points on the map (e.g. i
made the layer displaying just last 100 updated points).
but when user inserts id for old point that has not been updated for a
while, he won't get anything.

is there any way to get that old point from database then create it on the
layer/map ?
