Hello,

I think there is a misunderstanding OL3 uses webGL but is not restricted to
it.
So, you will have SVG, Canvas, VML output and so compatibility with
outdated browsers...

The API revisiting for OL3 is to improve performances and separate better
components if I understand well.
Google closure use is also for performances (dependencies at the function
level not file)
