[OpenLayers-Users] Overlay Opacity in IE7 with black edges

Hi,
We have a custom TMS layer over a basemap. The tiles are 32-bit PNG with
alpha transparency channel. There is also an Opacity Slider widget in our
OpenLayers app which dynamically changes the opacity of the layer.

It looks great on latest version of all browsers ...BUT for IE7 and IE8 we
can see black edges around the features of the layer. Pretty sure this is a
well documented <http://www.jacklmoore.com/notes/ie-transparency-problems>
issue with older IE where it cannot handle transparency correctly - it fills
alpha-transparency pixels with black.

There seems to be a "fix" by using IE's filters (see link above):-

But I'm not sure how we can use this to fix the black edges issue in our
OpenLayers app. IE7 and IE8 are still widely used so we want our app to
support them really.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Jason
