[osgeo4w-dev] Success with using gdal + vs2005

Hi,

Just wanted to report successful test case.
Using Visual Studio 2005 (without Service Pack 1),
I've successfully built libLAS with GDAL support linked to the library 
from OSGeo4W.

One question, why GDAL files do not live under common C:\OSGeo4W prefix
but are separated in c:\OSGeo4W\apps\gdal-dev ?
