[Ottawa_users] Welcome new chairs

Hi Jeff,

Information and videos from osbootcamp6/geocamp2008 can be found from the
osbootcamp web site:

There were between 120 and 140 attendees. 18 talks. Sponsors included:
Ingres, DM Solutions Group, PCI Geomatics, and Autodesk. (thank you again
sponsors!) Videos of the talks from the main room are in the videos section.


We're starting to think about holding Geocamp2009/ osbootcamp summer camp
event at Algonquin College in May 2009. Initial plans are to hold a 3 day
event and invite members of the Eclipse, OSGeo, Apache, Mozilla, Asterix,
Linux, Perl, Python, Ruby, and more open source communities. If any are
interested in helping organize this, please get in touch with me.

Dave Sampson and I would like to welcome the new co-chairs of the Ottawa
chapter: Scott Mitchell from Carleton University, and Philippe Vachon from
PCI.  They graciously volunteered to step into the roles at the last
meeting.  Thanks guys!

Also, at the upcoming FOSS4G event in Cape Town there is a slot for OSGeo
chapter reports at the AGM[1].  I am not sure who else will be there from
our group so I have put my name down to say a few words about our progress
as a group.  I need some help though in finding what to say...below is a
start at some points, so please fill in the gaps!  thanks.
