[pdal] how to change the data type of an attribute(or field) when exporting the las file

Hi,

 

May I know how to change the data type of an attribute(or field) when
exporting the las file.

 

For example, if the intensity is 2 byte integer, how do I square root the
value and export as a 1 byte integer in a las file.

 

Please advise.
