 So para acrescentar:

A biblioteca GeoScript esta a ser desenvolvida no sentido de dar mais
potencialidades ao GeoServer em particular na implementacao do protocolo WPS

No caso da implementacao Python, o GeoScript eh um module em Jython que
chama a biblioteca GeoTools. Ou seja programar em linguagem Python mas
usando todas as classes e estrutura do  JAVA.

Para aplicacoes simples nao ha grandes problemas em usar o GeoScript,
mas para um uso mais intenso ja nao vale a pena usar,  ja que o Jython
eh muito mas muito lento!!!
