[postgis-devel] Is it planned that overview rasters of PostGIS rasters can be registered outside the database instead of inside

Dear PostGIS-Developer
With the raster2pgsql tool also overviews of the rasters can be loaded into the database. It should be possible to register these overviews outside the database instead of loading them into the database. The problem is that rasters with high resolutions (2m, 0.1m) need a lot of space for the overviews. Is there any development ongoing or planned in this regard?
