PostgreSQL 18 PostGIS 3.6 installer Windows

I’m going to hold off a little on including pgsphere in package since there isn’t yet a tagged version that works.

But I have the binaries here https://winnie.postgis.net/download/windows/pg18/buildbot/extras/pgsphere-pg18-binaries-masterw64.zip

Sadly the latest tagged version even though it says it compiles under mingw64, it looks like it was packaged before the mingw64/msys2 fixes were merged.

The other very minor issue is it doesn’t regress cleanly under PG18. But this is because of planner output changes introduced in PG18 and not anything to do with functionality AFAICS.

I’ve ticketed those issues here:

https://github.com/postgrespro/pgsphere/issues/138

and here:

https://github.com/postgrespro/pgsphere/issues/139

Hi Regina

Thank you for the installer!! I appreciate it!

Just a couple of comments.

I selected the option to install the CURL_CA_BUNDLE, but it is not in the installer. Rapid Environment Editor indicates that C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\18\ssl\certs\ca-bundle.crt does not exist.

Are you planning to build osm2pgrouting. I built it using MSYS but cmake fails complaing about a lot of nonexistent folders. I followed your instructions on https://github.com/pgRouting/pgrouting/wiki/Building-on-windows-with-msys2-and-mingw64-(WIP)

Are you planning pgsphere?

Otherwise there are no issues at all.

Thanks again.

Pieter
