Sorry missed your message yesterday.
Did it work when you did the .exe install and it only failed when you recopied the newer PostGIS 3.7.0dev binaries or are you saying installing the postgis .exes broke your PostgreSQL install?
My guess is its one of the libraries that ships with PostgreSQL. I try not to overwrite these. When you copy using the zip, you shouldn’t overwrite them either but I include them just because in some cases EDB calls them by a different name than what the postgis libraries are bound to. If they are there they shouldn’t be overwritten cause there versions are sometimes newer than the one I ship.
My suggestion – copy the binaries from - https://www.enterprisedb.com/products-services-training/pgdevdownload (the ones in the bin folder) and overwrite the ones in your bin folder.
Then try to start up your PostgreSQL 19 server.

Hi Regina.
I have tried the newest dev version of 3.7 (refer to my previous post on Monday).
The issue with my PG 19 server not starting after copying over the files into the folder that had PostGIS 3.7 installed with the exe (I am on Windows) still remains.
Could you look into it?
Pieter
