Comment:

 strange, I found that for some reason bison/flex versions were different
 between my fedora and rhel box, I had copied the postgis source files from
 my rhel box over to my fedora box, ran make clean, and still I was getting
 bison/flex generate errors in the parsing of the WTK, I reinstalled
 postgis from the source tarball, recompiled and it now works....closing
 out.
