 I installed 2.2.2 from ports. As to the trunk version, maybe it would be
 worthwhile to ask rhurlin at gwdg.de to create some postgis-devel port?

 I'll try to build 2.2.3dev and test on it, and I can give you access to
 mentioned VM with premade crash databases, so you can take a look at it
 yourself if time permits.
