It is calling a C function in the library which does not exist, possibly
because the library was compiled with gist_estimate commented out.
Basically it sounds like somebody hacked together an install on the
quick, but did not document what they did. Or as you say the sql and the
lib could be from different code bases, or more likely, different
compile configurations.
