Yup.  Thank you.  I got it working, imported some shapefile data, made some
maps, played around with some of the geometry functions and wow: I'm
impressed.

I can't help but reflect on all the wonderful open source software that I've
been able to use in building a GIS: apache mapserver/mapscript python
ogr/gdal/proj postgresql postGis/geos mozilla ...

You folks are really pretty incredible.  Thank you.
