I download postgis 0.8.2 package, and put it at
/usr/share/pgsql/contrib/postgis, have fedora core 2 running with its
PostGreSQL 7.4.2.

I also downloaded Postgresql 7.4.2 sources, but when trying "make"
PostGIS I got:

/usr/include/pgsql/Makefile.global:278:
/usr/include/pgsql/src/Makefile.port: No such file or directory
Makefile:160: /usr/include/pgsql/src/Makefile.shlib: No such file or
directory
make: *** No rule to make target
`/usr/include/pgsql/src/Makefile.shlib'. Stop.
[root at epk postgis]# mcedit /usr/include/pgsql/Makefile.global

but there's no "makefile.port" at postgresql sources or even at others
postgresql directories.
