[postgis-users] sql command to see layers

I am looking for a sql command that shows only the (geog.) layers in a postgis database.

also: a php class doing the same thing would be a big help. I found a postgis php class @ http://phpclasses.byting.at/browse/package/2039.html, but this particular function is missing.
