[postgis-users] problem with installation

Hi,
i have the following problem:
i am trying to install postgis to a postgresql 8.0.3
i run make and make install in the postgis main folder in the contrib folder 
of
the postgresql 8.0.3 source tree

when i finish the installation with no errors the
lwpostgis.sql file is empty!

can anybody please help?
