[postgis-users] Hw to Oracle dmp file to postgis /postgresql

Paul:
  Thanks for your reply.

When you say free, are you referring to Oracle Express? If I read the
web page right, it is limited to 4 Gig database. The database I was
given is approx 150 gig split into 32 gig chunks.

Does this mean I am stuck with having to load it back into Oracle
somewhere?
I don't know Oracle or so this is likely a dumb question. If I can do
that, how do I extract the maps to put into PostGis?

Bruce

Bruce,

No, you are going to have to put it back into Oracle and then extract
the information in a more portable form. Fortunately you can
download Oracle for free for development purposes, so it is "merely"
a matter of effort, not dollars.
