[postgis-users] missing SRID and distance in meters

My map data is SRID=102003 (USA Contiguous Albers Equal Area Conic), but I'm unable to find it in the latest PostGIS version's SPATIAL_REF_SYS table. Is that a mistake? I installed the Windows binary version.

Also, do I need to reproject my data in order to perform distance measurements in meters via PostGIS functions ?
