[postgis-users] Re: Postgis installation: missing pg_config?

Hi All,

thanks for all of the help.  Ubuntu did indeed have a 'postgres-8.1-posgis'
package to install, which i did, and now everything works out peachy... i
was trying to learn how to build it from scratch in the likely event i have
to move it to a non-ubuntu environment.

the only thing that took me a bit was that i had to explicitly alter the
password for the 'postgres' user for use with pgadmin3... perhaps i missed
something, but explicitly setting it cleared up my problems.
