[postgis-users] upgrade problem

I'm stuck, my PostGIS is broken...

I was successfully running PostGreSQL8.2 with PostGIS 1.2 on Ubuntu
7.10.

I recently upgraded Ubuntu to 8.04 LTS, including doing apt-get
dist-upgrade after the upgrade.

SELECT postgis_version() and any other command that invokes PostGIS now
gives this:

ERROR: could not access file
"/usr/lib/postgresql/8.2/lib/liblwgeom.so.1.2": No such file or
directory

SELECT version() gives: "PostgreSQL 8.2.9 on i486-pc-linux-gnu, compiled
by GCC cc (GCC) 4.1.3 20070929 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.2-16ubuntu2)"

Yet pg_config -version gives PostGreSQL 8.3.7

It seems PostGIS 1.3 has been installed and 1.2 removed.

I have a pg_dumpall backup but no individual DB backups with -Fc.

Any tips would be most appreciated as I'm not sure where to go next.

thanks

Gavin Fleming
