[postgis-users] read and write geoemtries using plpython?

Hi folks,

is there a way to process postigs-geometries in plpython? I mean without
requesting them in WKT and doing stringoperations. What libs do I need
to integrate?
To build something like

myfunction(geometry) -> returning processed geometry
