Another suggestion would be to retain a term that is in widespread usage
instead of inventing a new term that will result in confusion due to two
names for the same thing.  It may not be perfect, but if the best choice
always won we'd be typing on Dvorak keyboards and our VCRs would be Beta
instead of VHS.
