[pycsw-devel] pycsw: Mapping to an existing okfn/ckan repository

There is a plan to integrate ckan (2.0) and pycsw the following months.

You are correct. At this point there is a mapping mechanism for 
extensions to define a db table to read metadata from.
Similar work has been done for pycsw integration with GeoNode
https://github.com/geopython/pycsw/tree/master/pycsw/plugins/repository/geonode
https://github.com/GeoNode/geonode/tree/dev/geonode/catalogue/backends

According to the current plan, the changes you propose will happen 
during ckan integration.
