Hello George,

during this Autumn we have been planning a project to develop forestry
related QGIS training materials which we is planned to be contributed to
the QGIS community. I had some discussions about this with Tim back in
September. Included in this project is the allocation of worktime to help
updating the QGIS training manual to v2.0. The project is bound to start in
January but I can start to work on it right away. Actually I thought a
while ago about getting used to the github environment but as Johanna, I
have no experience with it and got puzzled when I installed it... help with
how to get started on this side would be really appreciated. On my side, I
have a long experience in developing GIS training materials and teaching,
past three years using QGIS. Also I use QGIS in a windows computer... how
does this affect in developing the materials or using github (I heard it is
not so nice in windows...).

Regards,

Eduardo
