Eduardo
you can use git in Windows just like you do in Linux or Mac. About it
"not being so nice" in Windows, I guess it might just be the opposite.
You have the command-line version, just like in Linux or Mac, but,
since Windows users usually are not so familiar with working in a
terminal, you are likely to find more GUI's for git in Windows (there
are also quite a few in Linux and Mac)
In short, that should not be a problem, so as soon as you learn a few
basic concepts about git (which will be very useful for you in almost
any other project you want to collaborate nowadays), you should be
ready to contribute
You can start by forking the github repo (you need an account in
github, and you fork it in the github page itself). Then you can clone
it in your system using the tools github provides (basically a very
simple git client). With that, you are ready to work and contribute
your changes.
If you later want to change to using the "real" git, whether on the
console or with a full-fledged client, feel free to ask here for help
Thanks in advance for your help
cheers
