[Qgis-community-team] branching 2.2 for docs?

Hi Otto,

can you elaborate a little more on the branching of documentation of 2.2?

Because as we are now having a 2.4 release schema, maybe the old way is
not that good anymore? That is: after branching of QGIS desktop, the
community team updated the documentation sources and at a certain point
branched the QGIS Documentation too.

Do you think this still works? Or is 4 months just too short time to do
this.
