[Qgis-developer] QgsApplication returning blank paths

Hi Peter

I had this problem a little while back too. Try checking your qgis
binary is linked to the correct libs using ldd. Also try removing any
other (e.g. Apt based) installs of qgis. I have yet to discoveer the
underlying cause...though when I investigated it seemed to be
triggered inside the qgis python init code.
